Florida Edition · Zones 10a & 10b

The Florida planting calendar that actually fits your garden

Seed packets are written for gardeners up north. Follow them in South Florida and you get tomatoes that cook in June and lettuce that bolts before you’ve picked a single salad. This guide flips the calendar the right way round, so you know what to sow, plant out and harvest every month of the year. 🌴

  • 28 printable pages
  • All 12 months covered
  • 40 crops in the reference

Zone 10 Vegetable Garden Guide Florida Edition cover with the October and December planting pages and the year at a glance chart

Sound familiar? 😅

you’re not doing it wrong
  • You planted in spring like the packet said, then watched everything fry by June.
  • Your broccoli and lettuce gave up the moment the heat arrived.
  • You’re never quite sure if it’s too early, too late or just the wrong crop for Florida.

None of that is your fault. Most planting advice assumes a frosty spring and a short summer. South Florida has the opposite: a long, mild growing season from September to April, and a summer that’s too hot and wet for most vegetables.

Once your calendar runs the right way round, gardening here gets a whole lot easier. That’s exactly what this guide does.

Questions

quick answers
Is anything shipped to me?

No. It’s a digital PDF that you download straight after checkout, then print at home or at a print shop.

What size are the pages?

You get two PDFs, one in US Letter and one in A4. Both have all 28 pages.

How do I know if I’m in Zone 10?

Enter your ZIP code on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map. Zones 10a and 10b are both covered.

I’m in Zone 10 but north of State Road 70. Will it work?

Yes. The monthly pages use South Florida dates, and the crop reference has a Central Florida column with the dates for your area.

Where do the planting dates come from?

They’re based on the University of Florida IFAS Florida Vegetable Gardening Guide, which splits the state into North, Central and South Florida.

Can I use it on a tablet?

Yes, the PDF reads fine on a tablet or phone. Most people find a printed month on the fridge works best, though.

Can I print it more than once?

Of course. Print it as often as you like for your own garden. Please don’t share or resell the file.
